Who we are . . .
About Lori
Lori’s background blends wine education, symbolism, and storytelling. She is certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers and earned her WSET Level 3 certification. Lori has studied tarot for over six years, taking a variety of unique classes. She approaches both wine and tarot as languages—rich with history, nuance, and meaning.
Before creating tarot and wine experiences, she spent 35 years teaching English and Literature, guiding students (when they were listening!) through stories, symbols, and the quiet magic of interpretation. Her love of teaching and curiosity still shapes everything she does. For Lori, tarot isn’t about prediction—it’s about reflection, metaphor, and conversation.
A little more About Lori
Lori also loves writing and is currently working on her third novel, continuing a lifelong love of words. When she’s not planning gatherings or writing, you’ll usually find her enjoying a good glass of wine, hanging out with her friends and sisters, and sharing space with her five adorable cats, who are the undisputed masters of her household.
At The Queens of Cups, Lori’s goal is simple: to create welcoming, thoughtful experiences where people feel comfortable, curious, and connected—no expertise required, just an open cup!
