Who we are . . .

About Lori

Lori’s background blends wine education, symbolism, and storytelling. She is certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers and earned her WSET Level 3 certification. Lori has studied tarot for six years. She approaches both wine and tarot as languages—rich with history, nuance, and meaning.

Before creating tarot and wine experiences, she spent 35 years teaching English and Literature, guiding students (when they were listening!) through stories, symbols, and the quiet magic of interpretation. Her love of teaching and curiosity still shapes everything she does. For Lori, tarot isn’t about prediction—it’s about reflection, metaphor, and discussion.

Lori loves writing and is currently working on her third novel, continuing a lifelong love of words. When she’s not planning gatherings or writing, you’ll find her enjoying a good glass of wine, hanging out with friends and family, and sharing space with her five adorable cats, who are the undisputed masters of her household.

About Christine

Christine brings a rich blend of wine expertise, culinary skills, and editorial insight to The Queens of Cups.

She is certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers and earned her WSET Level 3 certification. Her relationship with wine is deeply rooted in both education and experience. As a wine consultant, she has a keen eye for balance, pairing, and approachability—with an emphasis on enjoyment rather than intimidation.

Christine is a longtime book editor and particularly enjoys working on fantasy books and memoirs. This hones her a natural ability to clarify ideas, shape experiences, and create gatherings that feel thoughtful, intentional, and well-paced.

Christine studied to become a chef at Laguna Culinary Arts, and her culinary practice brings hands-on food knowledge into the wine world. She operates her own catering company, Top Cat Caterers, where she enjoys crafting intimate, well-executed events focused on fun and hospitality.

When she’s not immersed in wine, food, or pickleball, Christine dedicates her time to animal rescue, which reflects her deep compassion and belief in nurturing both people and community.

At The Queens of Cups, Christine’s presence ensures every experience is well-crafted, fun and delicious.
